The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low, natural ridge on the S bank of the River Suir, c. 50m S of the river. The surrounding terrain is very marshy and liable to flood in winter leaving this site dry. An oval enclosure (29m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6m) and fosse (Wth 2.9m; D 0.28m) along the S side and by a bank (Wth 2.3m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.2m) at E; ditch and field bank concentric with E sector. Some quarrying has taken place in the NW quadrant.
