The National Monuments Service's description
Listed in the RMP (1998) as a dwelling. A map of the Armstrong Estates - Mealiff….1761 by Paul Higgins/James Madden depicts a large two storey, five bay house with pediment and with a stack at each end of the building. This house is probably not earlier than eighteenth century in date and is incorporated in the present Moyaliff House. It does not appear to be an antiquity though Bence-Jones describes the house as 'a rambling house of several periods and great character, incorporating some of the walls of an old Butler castle' (1988, 218-9).
