The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise of ground in flat pasture with the nearby Mulkear River to the N. A rectangular church (ext. dims. 8.95m N-S; 18.5m E-W; wall T 0.8m) built with roughly coursed rubble. The E window is obscured by a dense cover of ivy. At the W end of the S wall there is a two-centred doorway with finely punch-dressed chamfered jambs of seventeenth-century date. A single-light ogee-headed window is at the E end of the S wall and there are two small square niches in the SE angle. The graveyard (TN037-002001) has eighteenth and nineteenth-century headstones and is enclosed by a nineteenth-century wall.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
