The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on flat poorly drained land which was overgrown by bog with nearby fulachtaí fia (TN036-050023/031) 90m N and 110m to the SW respectively. The site was revealed during topsoil stripping and consisted of a ploughed-out spread (dims. 7.6m N-S x 6.7m E-W x 0.01m D) of burnt material covering an oblong trough (dims. L 1.76m x Wth 1.04m x D 0.37m) containing a fill of burnt material material consisting of fire-cracked stone and charcoal. (Stevens 2000, 199)
