The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low N-S ridge in undulating countryside with good views to the S. A circular area (diam. 32m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1-1.5m) and an outer fosse (Wth 2.3m; D 0.6m) best preserved at NW. No clear entrance feature visible. Evidence of mortared wall-footings protrudes from the top of the bank at NE. A limekiln was inserted into the fosse at NW in the nineteenth century.
