The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise in flat pasture. Although there are no historical references to Inch holding borough status, it is considered a borough by Empey (1985, 72) as it was a manorial centre, with associated motte (TN034-090002), church and graveyard (TN034-090001) and castle (TN034-090003). No earthworks visible at ground level.
