The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a NE-SW ridge in an upland area with a possible ringfort (TN031-043001) immediately to the NE. The poorly preserved remains of an oval-shaped area (diam. 41m NW-SE; 24m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 0.7m) and bisected by a field fence on a NE-SW axis. No visible trace of a fosse or entrance feature. A large quarry intersects the external face of the scarp at N with smaller quarry depressions in the interior at S.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
