The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a SE-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area (diam. 25m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.1-0.4m; ext. H 0.5-2m) with shallow traces of an outer fosse and a possible entrance gap at S.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
