The National Monuments Service's description
Located on gently rising pasture, in upland area with excellent views of the Devilsbit Mountain gap located 1.8km to the NW. Rectangular shaped castellated style tower of post medieval date which may have been built by the Carden family of Barnane House located 1.4km to the SW. A 19th century circular folly or viewing tower depicted on the OS map as 'Rock Tower' which was built by the Carden family of Barnane House is located 1.5km to the NW.
