The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the SE-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge in an upland area with nearby enclosure site (TN029-004) to the NW. A slightly raised circular area (diam. 35m NE-SW) enclosed by an earth and stone bank mainly reduced to a scarp (H 0.5m) with no evidence of an outer fosse or entrance feature visible. A field fence traverses the S sector of the interior on a NE-SW axis (Stout 1984, 61-2).
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
