The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the NW slope of a hill in pasture. Depicted as a small circular enclosure on the 1st and latest ed. OS 6-inch maps, with a field boundary truncating the W side on the latest ed. According to the landowner the site was levelled in the 1940s. Only a faint curving rise suggests the former location of the site and there is the possible suggestion of an outer fosse at N and NE although the ground has been disturbed in these area.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
