The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the NE-facing lower slope of a large hill, in rolling pasture. Depicted as a roughly circular enclosure on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map, abutting a field boundary at S. Not indicated on the 1904 ed. though the S field boundary kinks out defining the former edge of the site. Although levelled the site is still discernible as a circular area (diam. 36.4m N-S; 41m E-W) defined by a flattened bank (Wth 10m; int. H 0.78; ext. H 0.3m). There is a dip towards the centre, with a gap in the bank in the NE quadrant which may indicate the former entrance. There is a suggestion of a fosse (Wth c. 4m) at N.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
