The National Monuments Service's description
Ballynaclogh nave and chancel church (TN027-003002-) stands in the E quadrant of a rectangular-shaped graveyard (TN027-003006-), immediately SE of a 19th century Protestant church. 17th century recumbent rectangular-shaped graveslab (dims. L 0.92m x Wth 0.59m x T 0.15m) lying in the nave of the medieval parish church ruins that was described in 1840 as follows; 'Within the nave of the old Church there is a tombstone with the following inscription in raised letters: "Here lyes the Body of Samuel Bindon, son to David Bindon, Who dyed in the year of our Lord God 1611" (O'Flanagan 1930, 15).
