The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a SE slope of rising ground overlooking a river with a ringfort (TN025-064) to the E. The barely discernible outline of a destroyed enclosure (diam. 35m approx.) with an external fosse visible only at E where the site survives as a field boundary.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
