The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a gentle NE-facing slope at the edge of a valley, in rough pasture-land. Not indicated on the 1st ed. (1840) OS 6-inch map but depicted on the 1904 ed. as a small mound quite close to old farm buildings which are now gone except for a corrugated iron shed. An overgrown oval earthen mound (11m NE-SW; c. 9m NW-SE; max. H 1.28m; min H 0.66m) broader at NE and narrowing to the SW. There are a number of large burrow holes but no stone visible. An old field boundary (N-S) abuts the E quadrant of the mound.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
