The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on SE facing slope of hill in rough, wet meadow. Ringfort (TN023-022001) lies immediately 11m N of site and possible standing stone (TN023-022003) lies c.30m to NE. The three sites are situated in a small fiedl surrounded by coniferous forest. Circular site (diam. 22m), heavily overgrown with scrub, enclosed by an earthen bank (W 0.9m crest, 2.3m base; int. H 0.53m; ext. H 0.87m upslope - 1.47m downslope) and narrow outer fosse (W 1.2m; D 0.42m). Entrance (W 3.4m) in NW quad. with causeway over fosse. Bank falls steeply to exterior. Fosse appears to have been recut, probably for drainage. Interior slopes with hill to SE. A hut site is described in interior 'W of centre, demarcated by a low embankment (OPW Correspondence, Dec. 1977), hut site not visible due to heavy vegetation.
