The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight ridge in a poorly drained boggy valley in an upland area with a stone circle (TN019-046001) 60m to the NE. A recumbent slab (L 0.8m; dims. 0.6m x 0.4m) resting on smaller support stones in a slight hollow. Possible collapsed standing stone.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
