The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the S-facing slope of a low hillock in undulating terrain in reclaimed pastureland. A poorly preserved site, the S half of which has been levelled. The site originally consisted of a circular area (diam. 44m N-S) enclosed by a bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1m). The external face of the bank has dry-stone walling built up against it at NW which is a continuation of a stone wall field boundary which runs onto the site at N and SW. No visible trace of a fosse or entrance feature.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
