The National Monuments Service's description
According to John Feehan (Environmental Survey, Damer House, 1987) 'There are 3 fulacht fia situated in the flooded grassland in the north of the townland. The most northernly two contain both sandstone and limestone, the other consists of limestone only'.
Possible fulachtaí fia remain unlocated within the townland.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
