The National Monuments Service's description

According to John Feehan (Environmental Survey, Damer House, 1987) 'There was a circular shaped mound in the west of the townland which I though[t] could be a possible archaeological feature. It is approximately 23 metres in diameter and has sycamore and hawthorn trees growing on top'.
Site remains unlocated within the townland.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
