The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the SW-facing slope of Knigh Hill. A circular area (diam. 39m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 1.84m; ext. H 0.62m) and fosse (Wth c. 3m). The concave interior slopes to the S. Along the E portion there is a steep drop (H 2m) to a wide, deep ravine between the site and the rise in slope. The bank is truncated at E and S and is quite denuded at N and there are gaps at SE (c. 2.5m) and N.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
