The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in undulating pastureland on a natural rise in the field. Depicted as a small circular enclosure defined by bank on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map and as a small hachured enclosure on the latest ed. This raised, roughly circular area (diam. c. 28m N-S) has been levelled. A neighbouring farmer remembers the site being higher with an enclosing bank.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
