The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture within Sopwell Hall demesne. There is no indication of any landscape feature at this location on the 1st (c. 1840) or subsequent revision of the 6-inch OS map. An oval enclosure (dims. c. 42m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by a bank is visible on satellite imagery (© Google Earth, imagery date 16 December 2016), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère.
