Situated on a NW-facing slope in rolling pastureland. Marked as a roughly D-shaped earthwork on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map, not indicated on any subsequent editions of the OS 6-inch maps. According to the landowner he levelled 'a ring of trees' with some stones c. five or six years ago in this area. Not visible at ground level.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
