The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the NE-facing slope of a low rise in undulating countryside. A square-shaped area (30m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.5m) with typical rounded corners and slight traces of an external fosse visible from N to E but destroyed elsewhere. This site is located in the front garden of a bungalow and has been landscaped as a result. A road intersects the site at NW.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
