The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a S-facing slope of rising ground overlooking a river to the S. A circular area (diam. 33m N-S) enclosed by a low poorly constructed rubble wall (Wth 1-2m; H 0.5m) best preserved at NW and reduced to wall-footings at S where a field boundary intersects the site along an E-W axis. There are several intermittent erect orthostats in the wall construction. No entrance feature visible.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
