The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a natural rise of ground in undulating countryside with a ringfort (TN009-031) to the NE. Depicted as a small circular enclosure on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map. A semicircular area enclosed by field clearance debris and the partial remains of a possible drystone wall at N. A road intersects the site at W with no evidence of an enclosing element from E to S. Evergreen trees are planted in the interior. The poorly preserved nature of this site makes classification impossible.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
