The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the W side of the Little Brosna River in an upland area. A rectangular area defined by a drystone wall (10m E-W x 12m N-S; H 0.4m), destroyed in places, in the centre of an enclosure (TN008-041002). Grass-covered wall-footings of a possible building (10m x 12m; H 0.5m) are located in the N sector of the large enclosure. No evidence of any uprights marking burials inside the rectangular walled area.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
