The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a natural rise of ground with extensive views; river and hall-house (TN008-010001) to S. A well-preserved, large, conical-shaped, slightly round-topped mound of earth and stone construction (top diam. 6m; base diam. 16m; H 2-3m) with enclosing fosse (Wth 2.8m; ext. D 1.3m) and external bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.7m). Recent field-clearance debris dumped into fosse and along bank at NE.
