The National Monuments Service's description
This seventeenth-century watermill had been tentatively located at Ballinderry Mills. However field inspection c.1995 established that this is a late 18th/early 19th-century corn mill with distillery nearby. There is no indication of an earlier mill at the location. Watermill unlocated within the townland. Described in Civil Survey 1654-56 as 'upon the River of Inyhy standeth two decayed mills belonging to Bryen Kenedy', (Simington 1934, Vol. 2, 312).
