The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in the graveyard of St. Mary's RC church there is a possible conglomerate granite base (H 0.6m; dims. 1.25m x 0.7m) of what is locally believed to be from a high cross which originally was located in the medieval church and graveyard in the village of Terryglass village. On top of the roughly circular shaped base there is a small panel (H 0.05m; dims. 0.35m x 0.6m) standing in relief on top of the base which has a 19th century limestone cross inserted into a socket on top of the panel. Possible original socket was for the shaft of a high cross. A small bullaun stone (TN006-003009-) lies beside the base of the possible high cross base.
