The National Monuments Service's description

Possible early 17th century wall memorial/plaque inserted into the inner face of the S wall off centre to E of the chancel of the 13th century Dominican friary (TN004-010001-). The plaque is decorated with the O'Kennedy coat of arms with the motto 'Spes mea in Deo', meaning 'my hope is in God' and an inscription in Latin below this. The plaque has been inserted into a niche in the S wall partially blocking the base of a twin-light thirteenth century window.
