The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, utilizing a low natural elevation; the ground slopes down to E and S. Indicated as a circular embanked area on the 1838 OS 6-inch map and as an arc of a field boundary NW-SSW on the 1914 OS 6-inch map. A roughly circular area (26m N-S) defined NW-N by a slight rise, N-ESE by a scarp (H 0.65m) and SE-SSW by a scarp (H 1.3m) which merges with the line of a field boundary following the contour of the natural rise. The scarp diminishes S-SW and is truncated at W by a concrete shed. The interior is level and grass-covered. A cottage and outhouses lie immediately to W.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
