The National Monuments Service's description
In a wet meadow, bordering Lough Gara. A small knoll, slightly drier than the surrounding meadow and overgrown with grasses and some sally bushes. This is the most northerly of a group of four crannogs (SL044-070----; SL044-071----; SL044-072----). (Cross 1953, fig. 1; Fredengren 2002, KILF 004)
