The National Monuments Service's description
In a small valley, on pasture broken by limestone outcrops. A gallery (L 5.2m; Wth c. 1m) is segmented by jambs into two chambers. The entrance, at the NE, is marked by a pair of jambs but no evidence for a court survives. Single stones form the sides of the chambers and the rear of the gallery. A roofstone, apparently broken, covers part of the inner chamber. A low field bank extends N-S across the front of the gallery. There is a low mound (14m NW-SE; 9m NE-SW) around the sides and back of the gallery. (Ó Nualláin 1989, 77-8, no. 123)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
