The National Monuments Service's description

In good pasture, on a steep NW-facing hillside in the lower reaches of the Bricklieve Mountains. Circular, steep-sided cairn of comprised almost entirely of small stones (diam. at base c.10m). The slope of the hill was utilised in its construction. Consequently it is lowest at the SE side (H c. 1.2m) and highest at the NW side (H c. 4m). However a stretch of the cairn (L 8.2m) at NW has been incorporated into a linear NE-SW drystone-built field boundary wall which divides it into two unequal portions. There are some large stones incorporated into the base of the wall beneath the cairn material. That portion of the cairn that lies to the NW of the wall is much smaller (dim. 2.6m NW-SE) than the remainder. This potential monument is known locally as a relatively modern field clearance cairn. However it is impossible to assign a date or function on the basis of the available evidence.
