The National Monuments Service's description

Not included in the SMR (1989) but listed in the RMP (1995) and classified 'Tree Ring'. In pasture, on the S-facing slope of a drumlin on the demesne of Drumdoney. This is one of a group of three tree-rings (see SL040-192001-; SL040-192002-), none of which is indicated on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. A circular area (int. diam. 8.1m x 8.7m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1m) and an external fosse (D 0.2m).This is likely to be post-1700 AD in date.
