The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on an E-facing slope adjacent to the W shore of Lough Arrow. Listed in the RMP (1995) as 'Brick kiln(s), possible'. The remains consist of a sub-circular or squarish area (5.5m N-S x 5m E-W) bounded by a sod-covered stone bank-like feature. It has a low internal rim and is built up slightly on the SE to compensate for the slope. The exact nature of this feature is unclear and that it might represent the remains of a kiln cannot be ruled out. There is no evidence to suggest that these are the remains of a brick kiln and there is no local information of such. Immediately SE is a raised rectangular platform (SL040-168004-), to the SE a possible structure (SL040-0168002-) and to the NE the remains of a house (SL040-168003-). Although the date of these features cannot be determined with any degree of accuracy it is likely that they date to the post-AD 1700 period.
