The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on a level terrace at a break of slope at the NW end of a ridge. One of a linear cluster of barrows (SL040-130001-; SL040-131----, SL040-132----). There are excellent views though it is overlooked to NW by Kesh Corann Hill. A roughly D-shaped area (4.8m NW-SE; 4.3m NE-SW) defined SE-NW by a low bank (Wth c. 1.3m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.3m) with a shallow external fosse (Wth c.1m) intersecting at SW with the bank of the adjoining ring-barrow (SL040-130001-). Bordered on the straight NE side by a NW-SE field boundary. The field boundary is located on the break of slope on the NE side of the ridge and there is an abrupt steep fall of ground on its NE side. The field boundary is engulfed in dense brambles and it was impossible to determine to what extent it incorporates or truncates the barrow. There is a possible causeway (Wth 1.4m) across the fosse at SW where the bank is low, linking this barrow with the adjoining ring-barrow (SL040-130001-) though there is no corresponding low section in the bank of the latter. Listed by Farrelly and Keane (2002, 98).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
