The National Monuments Service's description

On a narrow shelf, on the E-facing slope of a ridge overlooking a narrow upland valley in the Bricklieve Mountains. A ruined limekiln, slightly recessed into the slope, abuts the S side of a field boundary wall. The small circular area (1.6m N-S; 1.55m E-W) is enclosed by a ruined stone wall (Wth 1m; H 0.5m), with an opening (Wth 0.6m) at SE. A cluster of probable 18th-century deserted dwellings and associated fields (see SL040-079001-) is in the immediate vicinity and this limekiln is likely to be associated with the settlement cluster.
