The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit of Sheecor, with commanding views and overlooking Lough Labe to E. A sod-covered oval flat-topped cairn (13m x 11.2m; max. H 1.2m) of small to medium sized limestone stones; the sides slope gently. There is a trigonometrical station on top of the cairn. This has been listed as a possible passage tomb (Ó Nualláin 1989, 84).
