The National Monuments Service's description
In the SW quadrant of a cashel (SL040-012001-), abutting the cashel wall. The poorly defined remains of a semicircular stone-built structure (int. dims.: 4m NW-SE; 2.5m NE-SW) defined by an arc of moss-covered stones (Wth 1.15m; H 0.3m). The straight SW side is formed by the cashel wall. There is a another hut site (SL040-012002-) 2.5m to N and a souterrain (SL040-012004-) which lies immediately to E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
