The National Monuments Service's description

'The Rev. Constantine Cosgrave, P.P., Keash, Ballymote, forwarded a rubbing from a fragment of an ancient Irish tomb-stone, which he stated to be regarded by the people of that locality with great reverence. It was situate at Caltra, about a mile distant from the much-renowned Hill of Keash…The spot where it rests is asserted to be the site of an ancient church and burial-place, although no vestige of either remains'. (JRSAI 1853-5, vol. 3, 280). Its location has not been identified.
