The National Monuments Service's description
On gently rolling pasture. A SW-facing gallery (L 7m; max. Wth 2m) stands in a diamond-shaped mound (11.5m NE-SW; 9m NW-SE; max. H 1m). The more northerly side of the gallery is intact and formed of seven orthostats. Adjoining the western of these seven stones is a facade-stone. Eight stones are in position on the opposite side of the gallery, three to the W of a gap and five to the E. A stone divides the gallery entrance into two parts. There are two partly buried slabs and a displaced stone in the rear half of the gallery. (Ó Nualláin 1989, 74, no. 117)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
