In pasture. A natural hill (diam. c. 200m) defined at its base NNW-SE by a curving scarp with a broad fosse and traces of an external bank and elsewhere to S and W by linear field boundaries, that at S being an earthen stone-faced townland boundary (Wth 2m; H 1.4m). The scarp (H 1.7-2m) which marks an abrupt break of slope at the base of the hill and may be partly natural, peters out at each of its termini. Generally the slope of the scarp is broad but it is almost vertical at SE. Traces of a field boundary (Wth 1.2m) are evident on top of the scarp at SE and a low rise (Wth c. 2m) is evident at ENE. The fosse is broad and shallow (Wth c. 5m at top and 3m at base). Remnants of an outer bank (Wth c. 1.8-2m) are evident SE-SSE and at NE where it takes the form of a very low rise (Wth c. 2.5m). The interior slopes gently down towards the perimeter. There is a rath (SL037-046001-) in the interior off-centre to W.
