The National Monuments Service's description

Within a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (SL036-033002-), c. 300m ENE of Killure, and adjacent to a church (SL036-033003-). The mound indicated on the 1914 OS 6-inch map, and on which the remains of the church are located, is likely to consist of fallen rubble from the church. There are no visible remains of the children's burial ground.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
