The National Monuments Service's description

Described in an inquisition of James I, dated 1619-20, as 'a watermill and water course lately erected, parcel of the possessions of the monastery of the Holy Trinity, in Logh Cé' (Clyne 2010, 72). The exact location of this watermill is unknown though Clyne notes that 'The watermill referred to was probably on the Feorish River, which runs beside the site of the cell' (ibid.).

M. Clyne, The rental of Holy Trinty abbey, Lough Cé. In T. Finan (ed.), 'Medieval Lough Cé. History, Archaeology and Landscape'. (Dublin, 2010), 67-96.
