The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, located on a steep SW-facing slope, which drops into a broad valley, with a small stream in its base. There are very good views into the valley, and to S, with Carrowkeel visible in the distance to SE and Kesh Corran to SSW.
This enclosure is not indicated on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps. A broadly oval area (70m NE–SW; 60-65m NW–SE) is defined by a fosse (W c. 2m) evident as a barely-discernible depression. At S–SW a slight scarp can be traced where the arc of the enclosure coincides with the base of the natural slope. The interior is not raised relative to exterior ground level, and slopes steeply down to SW, reflecting the natural slope. A field bank/property boundary, on a NE–SW axis, cuts through the enclosure to NW of centre. Part of the W quadrant of the interior has been incorporated into a small plantation of deciduous trees. At SE the fosse is truncated by a subcircular quarry pit (diam. c. 12m), now grassed over.
A rath (SL034-103001-) is located 175m to NW and another (SL034-104----) 250m to WSW.
