The National Monuments Service's description
A cremation (1956:221) contained within an urn (1956:220) was uncovered during quarrying at a sandpit in 1995. The Gardaí were notified and removed the remains from their original location. Because of this the monument was not visited by National Museum personnel. There is no information about the nature of the monument but it has been suggested that it was a pit burial rather than a cist. The vase urn is incomplete. Only a small quantity of cremated bone was recovered. However, despite this, it has been determined that the burial contained the remains of two adults. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 1, 449-453).
