The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a SE-facing slope, immediately SW of the Sligo-Boyle road. A raised oval area (15m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE) defined by a scarp (H 1.8m). There is a quarry hollow (dims. 2m x 3m) at NNE, the dumped material from which may be associated with a raised projection (c. 2m x 3m) on the face of the scarp at N. The townland boundary (Wth 4m; H c. 2m) skirts the E and S arcs. The perimeter is covered with overgrowth.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
